Search for a home
Due to recent changes in the Council's Housing Allocations Policy, we are informing you how this may affect your current housing application.
I.T. changes are in the process of being introduced and during this period you may not be able to see all the properties that you are eligible for. In this instance please contact the Homefinder Team for assistance.
However in some cases the current system may still allow you to bid for properties that you are no longer eligible for, and show you in a more favourable position than is the case.
Please note that the Homefinder Team will contact you by letter if you are successful for a property that meets your eligibility criteria as defined in the new Allocations Policy.
If you have any enquiries or concerns please contact the Homefinder service on 0300 123 6633 or alternatively call in to the Homefinder Office at 25 - 27 Market Place, South Shields, Tyne and Wear.
Homefinder is now part of a new partnership - Tyne and Wear Homes. We've joined forces with other local housing organisations to give you greater choice in your search for a home.
