What happens with the information I give you?
We treat any information given to us by a customer, applicant or third person as confidential. In some circumstances we may exchange information with other organisations, such as the Benefits Agency. We will not use the information you provide us with for any purpose other than the reason you have given it to us for and for improving the service we provide for our customers. We do not give or share information with external companies for marketing purposes.
How do you store information about me?
We keep both manual and computerised databases. The way in which we keep and use that information complies with the Data Protection Act 1998.
What about people who work for South Tyneside Homes?
Every member our team is advised at the start of their employment that information gained whilst working for us must not be used or passed on to any third parties other than in the proper performance of their duties.
