How to get involved
Did you know that you can have your say on how we do things at South Tyneside Homes?
As North East Regional Involvement Champions, we are committed to putting you at the centre of every decision we make. We want as many of you as possible to get involved and tell us what you think of the services we provide and how we provide them. By getting involved you can make a real difference.
Why be involved?
Getting involved means that you can take part in local decisions about how your estate is run. You can have an input into wider changes that affect all tenants and you can help create a better sense of community in the street where you live.
We know that everyone has different priorities and views and that some of you will have more time than others. However, whether you have an hour to spare or want to get more fully involved, there is a way for you all to have your say.
Ways of being involved
There are a number of ways you can tell us what you think. Whatever time you have, there’s a way for you to get involved that suits you.
You can either be involved formally or informally.
Formal Involvement could include you:
- Being a member of our board
- Joining a Service Improvement Group

Informal Involvement is quicker and more flexible, and could include you:
- Joining a panel
- Taking part in Estate Walkabouts
- Completing feedback forms and questionnaire

Tenant Services Authority
From April 2010 we will be regulated by the Tenant Services
Authority (TSA). They will help us to continue to improve our homes and services for you.
