Energy saving
South Tyneside Homes tenants can benefit by having cavity wall and loft insulation work carried out free of charge.
Up to 35% of the heat produced in your home is lost through your walls and 25% through the roof if they are not insulated.
By insulating your home with cavity wall and loft insulation to a depth of 270mm you can reduce your fuel bills and save on average around £130 - £160 per year.
Although UK energy prices are rising, you could actually save money by using energy more efficiently throughout your home.
Simple changes to your daily habits can have a huge effect on the gas and electricity bills that drop through your door.
