We take pride in keeping the housing in the borough up to a high standard of repair. We do this through a continuous programme of planned replacement and improvement, and by responding to day-to-day repair requests.
FixIt is the new way we deliver our repairs service - it is more customer focused with new ways of reporting repairs at times that are convenient to you.

Handy Homes
Our new Handy Homes service can give you an extra bit of help with your every day DIY jobs.
The service will bring a trained handyperson to your home for free to carry out these jobs.

Decoration

You are responsible for decorating your home, although we may be able to help if you are elderly or receive disability living allowance. Sometimes we may refer you to partner agencies who may be able to help.
Who is responsible for decorating the outside of my home?
We aim to regularly decorate the outside of your home to protect the wood or metal work.

Grants
Disabled Facilities Grants
If you or a member of your household is disabled they may qualify for a Disabled Facilities Grant towards the cost of providing facilities or adaptations to enable the disabled person to continue to live in their own homes.

Rechargeable Repairs Policy
