Secure Tenancy – information for existing tenants
As a customer, you have signed a tenancy agreement with the Council as your landlord. This is a legal agreement, which both parties must keep to, and places important responsibilities on both of you. This section tells you about your rights and responsibilities as a customer.
What is a Secure Tenancy?
Most of our customers are secure tenants, which means that they are protected under the Housing Act 1985. This means that as long as this is your only and main home, we cannot make you leave without a court order.
